Individualized exercise and ongoing support, at home or in our clinic.
Pain, joint instability, and fatigue can make everyday activities challenging for people with Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, particularly the hypermobile type (hEDS). Each person’s symptoms, abilities, and priorities are different, which is why rehabilitation requires an individual approach.
At PHYSIORAMA, we begin with a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and develop an exercise programme based on your symptoms, abilities, and personal goals. We then support you through weekly video consultations, reviewing your progress and adapting your programme to your response.

How can exercise help?
Appropriately tailored exercise can help you:
- Strengthen the muscles that support your joints.
- Improve movement control and awareness of your body’s position.
- Manage pain associated with joint instability.
- Become more independent in everyday activities.
Exercises are introduced and progressed gradually, with attention to technique and how your body responds.
What does our programme include?
- Comprehensive initial assessment
Your first appointment takes place in our clinic or by video consultation, depending on your needs and whether a remote assessment is appropriate for you.
We discuss your medical history, symptoms, previous injuries, and any difficulties you experience in daily life. We assess your functional abilities and movement and work with you to set specific, realistic goals.
We take into account your EDS type, advice from your treating doctors, and any other health conditions. If further in-person assessment or medical review is needed, we will guide you accordingly.
- Individualized exercise programme
Following your assessment, we develop your personal exercise programme. This sets out which exercises to perform, how often to do them, and the appropriate duration and level of resistance or effort.
We guide you through the exercises and explain how to monitor your response. Your programme is designed to fit into your daily routine, taking into account your available time, space, and equipment.
- Home exercise with weekly follow-up
You can follow your programme at home and meet with your physiotherapist each week by video consultation.
During each appointment, we:
- Discuss your symptoms and any difficulties you have experienced.
- Review your exercise technique.
- Reassess your progress.
- Adjust your exercises, repetitions, and level of difficulty.
Your programme evolves with you, supported by regular feedback and guidance.
- The option to exercise in our clinic
If you prefer to exercise under direct supervision, you can attend PHYSIORAMA to complete your exercises with a physiotherapist. You can also combine clinic sessions with home exercise, depending on your needs.
A programme built around your everyday life
Your goals may include walking more comfortably, managing daily activities more easily or gradually returning to an activity you enjoy.
We plan the next steps together and review your programme as your needs change.
